There are other options too: trades and buyouts. It's not that big a stretch... bottom line is that that trade is horrible value for the Oilers. And Dickinson isn't great as a hard minutes center.

I’m not really ready to give up on Tufte yet. There’s talent there and he shows flashes of very strong play. I’m not sure if he’ll ever be more than a bottom six forward in the NHL but I’d rather keep him and see than give him away as a small piece in a trade like this personally

DIckinson would be a great fit in Edmonton. He's a versatile forward who is speedy and pretty creative. I think your value is pretty close, maybe make the Dallas pick a conditional 3rd on how well Puljujarvi plays

Hard to say since it seems like Pool Party’s value is all over the place depending on who you talk to. I consider fair value for Fox (and most other players that are good but not good enough to be worth a first rounder) to be a second and a third/fourth (depending on where in the order the second round pick is) round pick. Translate that how you will lol. If you look at a Fox for JP swap I’d like Edmonton add personally but I may be over valuing our player

Oilers can pull a DeAngelo on Bear if they really need space. He is in a pickle has no Arb rights currently so get him signed for 1-1.2M for single year with longer term contract on the table for after that.
