Signing Dell is never going to happen, let alone at that nutso price.

    2.2 is reasonable for Dell

If they sign Pietrangelo they can have 2 albatross RHD contracts.

one day sure, but Petro helps the blues win now. a contending team cant let a player of that caliber walk

Hard to decide which was the bigger head-scratcher: the new Faulk contract, or Barclay Goodrow for a first-round pick. I think I'm with you.

Uhh no. He's quite crap. And we already have an Allen replacement on an ELC. Huge, firm no thanks.

Yeah, you wish. Petro is more likely to age gracefully, as his biggest weapons are his brain and his hands. I'm not saying he's going to Lidstrom, but I'm guessing something more along those lines.

if you don't want to sign him fine but that doesn't change the value he has. He played over 30 games on one of the league's worst teams and still put up a decent save percentage.

A .907 save percentage is well below the league average, it only looks decent compared to Jones. And Dell has a -18.59 GSAA over the last two seasons. This is not a goalie that a top Cup contender hands 25-30 starts to. And that's all before we even get to our hairy cap situation. If you are fine with him, and fine with that price, then why not just keep him?

Faulk wasn’t moving unless he got that contract. It’s why he didn’t go to the ducks. Plus pre pandemic I think he was getting 6.5M a year on the open market.

He also played on a brutal San Jose team this year. As a free agent he’d make about 2 million

Not after his abysmal season he’d get 6.5. Absolute error by armstrong.

he's a decent backup but we need a starter. If we buyout Jones then I'm all for re-signing him.
