Yeah, it will cost Cozens or #8 to convince Arizona to move Dvorak

Hold on, I mean it's not an outrageous price and Risto isn't great but he's also far from as bad as people on here make him out to be. I remember people saying very similar things about Petry when he was in EDM.

Not only that, but the difference between Raanta and Hutton is there too.
The way this reads to me is :
Dvorak = Mittelstadt + pilut
Raanta = Hutton + 2nd and 4th
just not really a good offer all the way around

I mean he sorta did. He was a pending UFA on a $3m deal and signed his current deal a few months later.

As for space on D that is debatable. Right now we have Weber, Petry, Chiarot and maybe Kulak who have a spot locked in. Apart from that Juulsen hasn't played in a long time and Fleury looked good but might need a bit more seasoning yet. Romanov is very promising but until he actually plays an NHL game we won't know for sure if he's ready.

Ok, you have successfully explained that we have room for a depth D. We sign a guy for 2mil rather than take on Risto’s bloated 5mil

He only has 2 years left on that deal and we have cap space. At worst we could trade him after 1 season. At best we could potentially have found a guy who improves his game and value like Petry did. If the price is right why not take a chance ?

I think he means RD. I think your offer is fair but Risto would be behind Weber and Petry

I don't think that would be the worst thing in the world. With Weber being 34 and Petry 32 it might not be bad to have someone who can come in and take a few minutes away from them.

Also I can't take credit for the offer @wmorrow585 is the one who created the AGM.

What if we switched out Dvorak for Schmaltz?

Dvorak is highly regarded and for good reason. Would cost the 8th OA and a solid NHL calibre player to get Arizona thinking about it. They have no reason to trade him, he is on a good contract now and in 2-3 years it will be one of the best contracts in the league

2021 2nd = Raanta

Everything else ≠ Dvorak
