Salary Cap Mode: Basic

Description

Trade #1 - Swapping recent late 1st round picks. Rangers are stacked at RHD, Flames stacked at LW, figured it might be a fit. Flames then get Lundkvist to come over this year after showing him the RHD depth chart.

Trade #3 - Flames also stacked on LHD, Kylington sort of blocked, trade for Fischer who's seen his ice time and production drop over the years with additions on the right side like Kessel, Hinostroza and of course Keller. Kylington can play both right and left D, but with Valimaki, the newly acquired Lundkvist and the newly signed Mackey, the Flames have enough roster spots on D being taken by inexperienced D. I'm not an expert on the Yotes D situation, but I think Kylington pushes for a spot right away, and after then next season the Yotes have four 30+ year old D set to be UFA's.

Trade #3 - Wings have Hronek, Lindstrom and now Seider as stud present and future RHD, figured Bowey might be able to be had. Bennett is at worst a gritty 3rd liner who can play all 3 forward positions, but with a change of scenery and more ice time on a rebuilding team might take a step forward that he hasn't been able to in Calgary.

Don't know if Sam Bennett fits our need right now... We need a young talented goalie, a LD or a #2 center. I know we won't get a #2C with just Bowey, but what about valimaki? TBH, don't know too much about him wondering if he'd be a good 1 for 1

Valimaki missed the whole season with an injury so it will be tough, but the Flames are very high on him. The hope is that by the time he's Bowey's age he's our #1 Dman on the left side.

Where did he rank on Scott Wheeler's top 50 list, do you know by chance?

I’m not sure if the Wings need Sam Bennett but value wise the trade looks good.

Pelletier isn't on it. Valimaki was the only Flame, can't remember where he was ranked.

..and Pelletier wasn't on it according to ItWasIn, so yeah Flames certainly add or more likely he's just not available.

Some teams just gotta hog all the young RHD.

Pisses me off even more that Fox slinked his way to them.
