That's a very generous offer, but I value Roy and Lizotte too much to trade them. Kings might accept though.

Keep in mind the 2nd is being transferred because of Clifford but ya I'd agree that is overpaying.

He shoots right and in the past Miller had a couple seasons of great advanced stats against extremely sheltered competition. That is what makes many fans willing to dramatically over pay for him. Thankfully, there is no evidence that Dubas was interested in him last summer (which many fans had expected as Dubas has a connection with Miller going back to the OHL).

He is a pro at taking the worst penalties in the offensive zone

Kerfoot is valuable because he can play center and wing and can be moved up and down the line-up. Think you are really under estimating his abilities and still a young player.

A 3rd for a 2nd isn't remotely close to being worth a 4th rounder.

I don't think that Kerfoot is great, but the Leafs don't need a great player to play 3C. Miller is a vastly over-paid 3rd pairing D. The Leafs currently have too many 3rd pairing D (none of whom are overpaid).

I would take Ceci any day of the week over Miller. I actually hope the Leafs resign Ceci to a 1 year show me deal as he is a much better defenceman tha people realize.

No he's not. I watched him in practice this week. Terrible giveaways behind the net.

Both players have been rather underwhelming - with the LA trade Kerfoot becomes disposable - Miller is not my ideal choice but Im also unwilling to give up on Liljegren or add him to Kerfoot to aquire a slightly better RHD and lose the extra depth on the backend

I was just trying to point out that if we are giving up the 2nd due to the conditions of the Campbell/Clifford trade then the trade should also include the 3rd coming back. The trade condition wasn't a 3rd AND a 2nd it was a 3rd OR a 2nd. That's all.

As for the value of the pieces in this particular trade...well I have no idea.
