100% sure Edmonton declines the Toronto trade.

As for the Kraken deal, I guess it all depends on how both Neal and Benson perform over the next 12 months, but it looks a little light on value right at the moment. Could work.

I doubt Seattle does that considering would be exposing a good young d. I wouldn’t be signing a 3c to a 5.5 million deal that’s just too much for that role. The Dallas deal is insanely lopsided for Dallas but I know everyone around here thinks JP is worth as much as gum stuck to bottom of shoe which is way off reality. Don’t think removing larsson from the line up is a good idea seeing as he’s the only shut down guy that can push people around. Not sure why benning is making half a million under his qualifying offer.

Seattle won’t settle for anything less than what Vegas did. If you want rid of a bad contract, it will cost premium going assets (Theodore and Tuch), 1sts or multiple 2nd and 3rds

I’d be interested in taking a chance on one of AA or JP, but not both and not for Guri. And no, sticking the two of them together doesn’t get you there. Def doesn’t get you a second rounder cherry on top. Lol. JP ran off just like Honka did so Nill might not be too keen on getting him. If AA doesn’t produce and/or gain chemistry with anybody soon Edmonton might not consider his qualifying offer money well spent and shop him (at a discount most likely)

I feel like Danault can play up and down the lineup so he’s more valuable than just a 3C like Faksa or Soderberg.

For expansion protection scenarios, I view them as a trade in the sense you need to give in this case SEA 2 things
    1. More value than the player they want
    2. Value for them in this case to take a bad contract.

In this proposal I dont see either of those being accomplished as much as I like Benson

But where up line up? I would agree if nuge wasn’t around but in the event Leon or mcdavid misses time still wouldn’t move up line up. I see that 3c role being somewhat limited. Perhaps if he would agree to less term I could get behind it more. Nothing at all against the player it’s just the investment im not sold on personally and do believe Mcloed will be ideal for the role cheaper within 2-3 years.

I don’t know if Fox could be a 2C or not to be honest. He’s been fully Hitch’d for a while now. That line is sent out there to stop the other teams top line, but I feel like nobody has told them they can try to score as well. When they get the puck they dump it into the other teams corner and grind out the rest of their shift. It seems like the Stars coaching staff is happy just keeping the other teams top line off the board. Which is valuable, but usually those top line guys aren’t the best defensively and you’re passing up a chance to take advantage of that when you’re just dumping and chasing and not really trying to create quality scoring chances other than the occasional net front rebounds that good goalies rarely give up. I’m rambling on here but I think Faksa has more offense if given the right line mates and mind set. I don’t think he’ll get that in Dallas and we have Dell and Dickie so I’d be happy for him if he got it elsewhere (but also slightly salty lol)
