IMO NSH should add something.

Or maybe do a larger trade...

Serg, 2nd and 4th(or 3rd) and Killorn vs Tomasino and Fabbro?

That's not the issue, Serg is quite good at RD

And that defeats the purpose of the swap.

Sergachev has been played at RD most of his career even though he is left-handed. I don’t see that as a sticking point for the preds.

im a bolts fan, thats not correct. He played RD for the first time last year and transitioned decently. He is much better on the left though.

NSH can't take on that kind of cap. And they won't trade Tomasino.

I’d do that from Detroit perspective if Gourde would waive for more ice time. Svechnikov is probably KHL bound but that probably doesn’t effect the trade since it’s more of offloading cap.

IMO that's too much to give up for Svechnikov. I know Gourde's contract is pretty bad, but Tampa Bay is still in win-now mode and Svechnikov hasn't proven much yet.

Gourde probably isn't with 5m cap hit for five years. Detroit declines and spends their cap money wisely. And the pick in the late twenties doesn't sway the Wings
Nashville keeps the cap efficient Fabbro instead Serge. Why does Palat waive his NTC?

That's just too much cap to take on for that price. Gourde has a cap hit of $5.2M for the next 5 seasons. Look at his point totals over the last 3 seasons: 64, 48 and 34 (adjusted for 80 games). His point totals are on a steady decline and TB's offense is very good. It would take more than a 1st in the 2021 draft - Svechnikov isn't enough to take on that contract.

Its more to get gourdes money gone than bring svech in.

His shooting % was drastically lower this year than his career. He’s slowly lost ice time the last couple years and played Maroon, Paquette, etc. Last year he played with a combination of Palat, Johnson, Stamkos and posted 48. Not great numbers but maybe in Detroit with increased role & PP time he can bring those totals up while playing a decent 2 way game? It’s definitely not ideal and I’d want more but Yzerman knows the player well so maybe it’s enough for him.

I know that, but I still think Tampa Bay is overpaying.
