I'll admit, I don't watch many Buffalo games. But I don't believe Montour is worth a 1st.
Also, lol at that MTL trade.

Habs decline. Domi for the 1st is okay but Armia for Johansson doesn’t make sense. We are full on left wing with Tatar, Drouin, Lehkonen. If we trade Armia, our RW depth goes away. It would be Gallagher and then no one...and Armia brings something that we don’t have much of as it is. Johansson, we already have players like him. No need

He was better in Anaheim imo. I think he would be worth a late 1st.

When is the 2021 Draft Lottery? I like our odds with this team of plugs.

Domi is not worth 8 oa 1 for 1 that excess value carries over. Johansson plays all sides

Probably a late first. Same as Ristolainen. The problem is the RHD market is a buyers market right now. Too many options available for UFA's and Trades.

But Montour can play both sides

Buffalo should really keep that pick unless the return on a trade is heavily favorable to Buffalo. Domi doesn't quite cut it.

There would be room without that trade with the Isles. That is $4 million in extra cap for dead weight

4.25 for a 4th liner that offers no more than what Girgensons would for under 2 AAV and given the ages of the two players probably less over the next couple of years. That is definitely dead weight.

He offers much more than Girgensons aside from Girgensons accidentally scoring 12

Dude. Grit. If we punch enough people in the head we will win.

Nevermind that 400 year old Corey Perry is on the 2nd line

Yeah wonder how Boston, St. Louis, Vegas, and Washington manage to be so successful while Tampa and Toronto continue to be tossed aside year after year. Skill is nothing without grit and heart (Buffalo). Perry still has elite hands and vision. Imagine Perry standing in front of the net while olofsson is wiring half clappers from the faceoff dot

Really? at 3 years 6 mill to play in your bottom 6 when you guys have RFA's that need to be paid? I guess the contracts of Clutterbuck and Boychuk help with the cap situation, but I think you can move both those guys without taking any long term money back. Trade Boychuck for whatever you can get as long as you don't retain cash and Clutterbuck still has value in a bottom 6 role, but would only fetch you a middle pick.
Also, Kyle O was good when he had JT passing him the puck, he's been pretty mediocre with BUF

I don't think we can move Boychuk and Clutterbuck without either adding assets or taking money back. This does save us $3.5M in cap and I think Kyle can be somewhat rejuvenated back on the Islanders. He always played so much better when there was structure in the system. He'll get the best of that with Trotz.

Kyle played some of his best hockey without Tavares. He had great years playing with Nielsen and Bailey.

He was given the opportunity to play with Eichel and to be successful and he's been pretty bad. I only really base him play compared to his salary in a salary cap world. If he was making 3 mill he would fit in anywhere
