Leddy is worth way more on his own. The only way Kings get him for that price is if they take Komorov as well.

Agreed. Leddy's value here is all over the place. He's still a dependable 2nd pairing guy. A bit slow, and slightly expensive, but he's still got some value.

I like the Buffalo trade, even if we have to take the extra year at the end. Okposo should be serviceable for at least one more year, maybe two.

Minor thing, but where do you see Hutton fitting in? Did he look good in Bridgeport this year?

They can also buyout his contract after 2 years, the last year has no bonuses - he might even retire before than.

Hutton looked pretty good, he’s basically scott mayfield with better skating ability and more offensive upside.

Sabres pass we don't have room to take an extra 4 million in dead weight
Especially if we get nothing in return for doing it.

Is he not? Sorry, purely from an eye-test perspective, and from what I've heard around here.

Dammit man! I was trying to defend his honor tears of joy

Haha it’s all good. Leddy is the fastest skater on the team, faster than barzal.

Maybe you were thinking about boychuk ? 😂

That’s good to hear, I hope he sticks around. Mayfield is who I think gets snagged in expansion so if Hutton (or Wilde I guess) can take over for him after that, that would be nice

Other than dobson and sorokin, I feel like wilde is the only other prospect that has the potential to become elite. Sure he has a boom or bust feel to him, but I’d rather hold on to him.

I like the group of defenseman the isles have drafted/signed over the past 2 years. Dobson, Hutton , wilde, and bolduc. Hutton is 6’3 , the rest 6’4 and they are all elite skaters. They’re not just good skaters for their size. That’s really encouraging.

Leddys best quality is probably his skating in a straight line

I really wanted the Hawks to take Bolduc with their 2nd rounder last year, so I was really happy when the Islanders picked him up instead. Dude is huge lol.

But yeah, Hutton and Wilde are worth getting excited about too, although if we have to trade one to stay under the cap this year, I won't be too too upset

I would trade bolduc over wilde - I think bolduc will be like Adam pelech in the NHL and I’d rather have a dynamic talent like wilde. I’d rather not trade either of them , but if it came down to it I’d trade bolduc.
