I'd accept that Ducks trade. I love Rico, but getting Niku and the 1st is worth it IMO. Helps with protection for expansion draft as well.

I think Heinola is NHL ready, Samberg idk, he doesn't impress me but I think he's been "promised" a spot on the Jets, think Samberg would have to have a pretty terrible camp and preseason to not start in the Jets top 6 defense core next season.

While the Sabres would be thrilled to be rid of Carter Hutton‘s contract, The last thing they would ever need is another young defenseman. That is unless they were flipping one of their own veteran defenders to get some forward help.

Im hoping they are. I would think that they are both given a really long look for next season, but if they have to spend part of it in the AHL I think that's cool too. Wouldn't sign Edmundson for 3 years as it would clog up the path of the young guys. Plus...where's Demelo? that guy needs to be re-signed

If we can get Cernak for that, a huge guy(6'3'', 233lbs), I would rather him than DeMelo.

I think Samberg is more NHL ready as he plays a simple game and is already a man. Heinola needs to get bigger before he is a full time NHLer.

Anaheim trades a #2 C for a future first, an AHL goalie, a cap dump to add to our LW logjam, and a dubious leftie-playing-RD youngster? Plus retention? I don't think so.
