Its gotta be Zonas or ours to get him unfortunately... VAN's pick will be 15-20 range.

In Tampa’s eyes, is Butcher adding value?

I might be wrong but NTC's don't need to be waived to keep a player unprotected in the expansion draft. Only NMC's need to waive.

If Butcher is involved then yes it should be a higher pick lol Butcher is strictly an offensive D man. His defense is ok at best.

I get your point about Zacha but hes only starting to get good now on offense because of Bratt/Goose. He still has a long way to go in terms of development for a 2 way forward as a 6th overall pick.

Dude you have to stop looking at Zacha as the 6th overall pick and look at him for what he is. Yeah he's a bust for where he was slotted no doubt about it. But he can still develop into a 40 point center with a really good two way game. Those are valuable commodities especially for teams that need depth pieces like Tampa

Stop looking at him as the 6th overall pick? lol wtf he was a 6th overall pick and I am valuing him for who he is....he's not that great of a center and sure as **** wont entice BriseBouis for Serge.... I have faith he can develop into a great forward which is why I would rather have him for depth but his current level of play is nothing special other than PK/Defense.

you realize they had Vancouvers pick and gave that to us for Coleman who is a stud + Foote, they aren't going to say oh okay we'll take that back now with other sub par players and give you Serge lmao

I'm saying if you continue to say "well he was taken before Barzal, Rantanen, etc." people will always be down on him, that's all. I think he's a decent player with good two way upside. Yeah Coleman is very good but that has more to do with his value at 1.8 mil for 2 years than anything else. He absolutely would entice BriseBouis enough to accept a Vancouver pick between 17-20 instead of an arizona pick between 9-11.

Idc who was taken after Zacha, and when did I ever bring up anyone else in that draft?!!?!? lmfaooooo

he's on the team and I'll support him no matter what however I can say with confidence that the Devils fanbase has not been impressed with him at all....

Yeah Colemans AAV is very good which is why we got what we got (obv we both agree hes a tremendous asset which adds even more to our points), but your last sentence is just mind boggling lol I think any GM would want a pick near the top 10 than a mid round late pick considering Serge was a top 10 pick and could make an immediate impact (especially if hes paired with PK)

TB can't take on any salary. Butcher brings no value. Zacha brings no value. TB would be taking more cap than they trade away. Ty Smith . Boqvist. Those on elc is what they'd be looking for...

Johnson ain't waiving for NTC, and he isn't worth his 5m X 4 contract Why not just spend money on a UFA instead of giving up assets to sign Sergachev

Devils hardly sign free agents so trading for an RFA like Sergachev from a team that doesn't have cap would be the best option
