Close enough. Point still stands, he's not moving to buffalo to not win a cup and make nothing

Hes not going to be getting many deals and this is an expected salary for his decling production. Sabres will be more of a contender and to deny that is stupid

Wasnt really focusing on the team, but Foligno is also a fantastic player, and Botterill gave him away for nothing. I wouldnt say im low on Montour.

Which is why we're keeping him. So thanks for Foligno, but no thanks to this deal.

I don't think this team is much of a contender. Their biggest deficiency is scoring goals and this roster build does not address that. Where are the additional 50 - 60 goals this team needs to become a contender going to come from??

Yes, a contender for the bottom 5 in the league. Again...

Nah. They beat up on the weak teams like toronto and Tampa. Skill doesnt matter if those stars are gassed and hurting. Its proven every year

“Fantastic” is quite the exaggeration for how good Foligno is
We should at least be getting a 2nd in this Montour for Foligno swap, as top4 RH defensemen are clearly more valuable than 3rd liner wingers

And why are we using a trade chip like Montour to get a 3rd liner, when we NEED a 2C & RW2 ???

Soderberg is the top 2way Center scheduled to hit the market
He’ll get offers to play on much better teams than us
It’s very unlikely we are gonna attract ANY free agents that are “in demand” like he would be

And taking a rookie RH defenseman & asking him to play on the Left Side (which he’s likely never done) isn’t a good idea either sir

Also, Corey Perry isn’t signing here, and he’s shot anyways...
so we shouldn’t even want him
