This is the minimum I'd take for Marner. Tbh I don't mind keeping him. Sure he's overpaid a bit but it's extremely hard to get a talent to replace him. He's a top 10 winger in the league.

Dubas would probably lose his job if making a trade like that.

I doubt Rossi and Drysdale are available at #6. The rest of the draft is just too risky to justify trading Marner.

Good chance one of them is there at 6. Detroit has been reported to want Perfetti.

Interesting. Rossi seems to have "Marner-like" potential to me. And Drysdale is the player the Leafs need and don't have. The Sens are in an ideal position: so many options for them.

Once in a lifetime the Leafs get a player like Marner and you want to trade him away. No chance the Leafs trade Marner who is a franchise and generational player. Both Shanahan and Dubas loses their jobs and Leafs fans from coast to coast would be upset. Marner is only 22 years old and potential 100 point player who is going to win multi cups in Toronto so this trade makes absolutely no sense from a Leafs point of view.

I mean he is pretty good. First player to hit 90 for the Leafs in 20 yrs and I think theres still more to come. He gets **** on a lot for his cap hit but I think he gets under rated.
