Oilers reject that deal without thinking twice. Dahlin is enticing, but Draisaitl is also about to win MVP. Add in the salary that you have to eat with skinner, no thanks.

It would be more reasonable if you remove skinner and switch the 1st to this year (8OA).

Value aside, we are in no position to add that much in cap space. Draisitl is too big a fish to go after.

The first year Skinner's contract doesn't really effect you, and if he gets paired with McDavid you could probably boost his stats enough so you could off load him to Seattle the year after.
