It's tough ti answer, but with a flat cap for a few years + strome needing paper it's def possible. Someone has to go:
Saad
Strome
Kubs

Unless someone offers a king's randsom for cat

Strome for Mittlestadt seems like a possible trade Buffalo would have to add, but Chicago can get a cheap 3c who has no arbitration rights, you can pay him $874,125.

This is not a realistic offer for Strome.

Buffalo can take back De hann/Määta they need a LHD now since Pilut left to the KHL.

Actually that'd be really really good for Buffalo.

Neither of those are cap dumps in CHI's point of view. Quality for Quality needs to be the basis of the trade. Maatta can be bought out and its a very friendly cap hit.

So you wouldn’t do Mittlestadt + for Strome and De hann/ Määta? I feel like Stan would like that because I’m sure they would rather buyout Zack Smith no one is taking that contract.

Correct. I would not do that. Its not quality for quality.

The Odd man out is Shaw. Shaw is worth maybe a 5th rd pick. the hawks will either trade Maata or Smith or buyout one of them.

Sorry not trying to hate, but the Line combos are trash. Why is Saad on the fourth line? Dach needs actual linemates, not 4th liners. Even Colliton isn't dumb enough to make those combos.

Seabrook won't be a LTIR to start the season and I don't think the coyotes will do that

Why would we do that? de Haan is a stud when healthy, Maata has been good Defensively last year. If you want Maata is available for a 3rd or 4th rd pick. If you add a 1st, and we'll think about it

Strome is a player that can put up 50 points, de Haan is a stud defensively and Maata a good Bottom pair defensemen.

Mittlestadt has never put up good number in the NHL, and his AHL stats are decent

If bowman could trade panarin and kahun, you bet he can trade kuba. So yes, it’s absolutely possible.

What do you think he’d want in return?

Well, Bowman’s M.O. in the last three years has been trading potential for NHL readiness and cap security, even if that sacrifices performance. As long as what he gets compliments Kane and toews and “artificially” keeps the window open, he will do it.

That being said, I have no idea. I don’t think he’s ever be smart enough to get a 1st rounder for him because that would essentially signal a rebuild. Any trade for kuba would be for either an NHL ready dman or another winger.
