If we don't do much i'd really like to see us keep namestikov for PK and 3rd line. He's a solid depth piece and if we have injuries he can always move up, the guy used to play with stammer and kucherov in tampa and didn't seem to slow them down.

So what you’re saying is Cam Morrison isn’t the answer at winger.🤪

Kings decline. Zadorov doesn't fit the bill for the top pairing Vet LD we are trying to acquire for next season.

Good point. I've updated to put Namestnikov on the PK.

I could also see Kaut edging out Jost, but either way I think Sakic might be content to just keep Jost around as a cheap depth forward rather than trade him for picks.

I think it's pretty clear that Morrison is headed for free agency, unfortunately. From his perspective if he signed with Colorado he'd probably have to spend 1 year in the AHL and hope to make the roster in 2021 when Bellemare/Calvert become UFA's, at the earliest. Conversely he could probably get offers from a few teams with less depth who's rosters he could crack easier.

Some LAK fans have agreed to that exact trade in the recent past on here. Namely I think @OldNYIfan likes it if I remember right.

In any case, it's more of a placeholder trade. Zadorov could go for a similar package from any one of NJ / NYR / DET / FLA / CGY / OTT / BUF / MTL / WIN.
