Buffalo is not trading Eichel if they did first overall would be included if Columbus won the lottery but still probably would not happen

Not enough quality.
Korpisalo and Ullmark are similar
Foudy and Bemström are unproven.
Bjorkstrand, is a nice piece though.
If Eichel was to get traded which he’s not it would have to start with Dubois

CBJ declines. Eichel is very good, but this is a complete over-payment and depletes the Jackets of their home grown talent base.
Sabres have had so many recent years of very high draft picks, yet they seem to be perennial golfers in April.
Maybe they could focus more on hiring better scouts and coaches, so they can draft & develop their own talent more effectively, rather than trading 1 lottery draft pick player for an entire team's drafted and developed talent base.

Are you kidding?
Korpisalo has proven to be very good #1, better than anyone the Sabre's currently have.
Add Bjorkstrand, who has developed into a 60+ point talent level.
Add Foudy and Bemstrom, who are their 2 top young prospects.
AND 2 1sts, a 2nd, AND a 3rd???
CBJ has no interest.
Keep your Eichel and keep enjoying golf and fishing at the lake in April.

Korpiaslo 37 GP 19-12-5 2.60 .911

Ullmark 34 GP (injury) 17-14-3 2.69 .915
Eichel was on a 93 point pace. Top 10 in scoring, Dubois would be coming back.

Columbus can’t afford to make this trade too many players would be involved and it would crush the team.

OK, so here is a more cogent and less impulsive response I provided to recent Leaf's posts with the same concept: Raiding CBJ talent pool for 1 superstar talent:

Columbus is a small market team, and they have constraints in competing with large market teams such as Boston, NYR, and Leafs when it comes to spending up at the top end of the cap.
They have managed their business very well over the last decade or so.
They have drafted and developed their own talent EXTREMELY WELL over the last 7-8 years.
They have found true NHL'ers in later rounds of the draft.
They have signed their players to decent contracts, and been willing to part with top end talent (Bob) to ensure not overpaying for players and keeping money available to support future contracts and protect against the occasional rogue offer sheet.
The last thing CBJ plans on doing is trading their top 2-3 players and very high draft picks for 1 impact player.
It is not going to happen.
They are going to continue doing what they have done, enjoy the fruits of their labor, and stick to their game plan.
Drafting and developing, and building a team of very good players that mesh well together, compete hard, and have depth of talent at each position throughout the organ-I-zation
