Gusev wasn’t even selected he was acquired by VGK from TBL bc Vegas took Jason Garrison and his albatross of a contract

Just imagine Tampa today if they could somehow, someway, have Gusev on their team. Ik about the salary cap, but that would be something. Also surprised Vegas sent him to the Devils for a 2nd and a 3rd before he played a single NHL game

They worked out a deal with Carolina and Chicago.
The Hurricanes got Kruger, TVR & a 2018 7th(traded to NYR, Riley Hughes) for 2017 5th(Jack Dugan) 2018th 5th(Brandon Kruse) and a 2018 2nd (Jake Leschyshyn) and selecting Connor Brickley in the Expansion Draft.
