I wouldn't be shocked if Studnicka forces someone out of the line-up even when Kase is ready to go. Studnicka even impressed Bergeron during the mini-camp.

Studnicka breaking out would really shore up right wing. Considering he was OHL two years ago, though, I think it isn’t likely

He's already been good at the camp and was one of the best (if not the best) forward of the Providence Bruins this year. I would say it's 50-50 and very likely if someone in the top9 is unfit to play at some point.

Not a terrible thought, but:
Unfortunately man, thats not nessesarily how it works
Guys go from OHl/WHL/QMJHL to the AHL all the time, maybe they take a year to develop in the AHL, but thats exactly what Studnicka did.

Guess you'd have to define "breaking out" before you can talk about how likely it is.

If he can come in, play a 200ft game and give you 1-2 goals and 2-3 assist in a 7 games series then its a huge win.

That is what the lineup will probably look like.

Can you think of any big name NHL players that went from being an OHL player to being a good NHL player in two years or less? It’s like 45% of the NHL.

I mean, if he’s a two way player putting up 5 points in a 7 game series on his entry deal, i don’t think you’re really going out on a limb saying it’s a win.

Ya i think he’s here to stay. Bjork taking Ritchie’s place, Kase taking Bjorks place, and Ritchie taking Nordstroms spot?

In fairness thats the high side. In the same post the low side is 3pts and Id consider it a win. I'm more interested to see what his affect is on a potential line with Krejci/DeBrusk. In the OHL he was more if a setup guy (nearly 2A for every 1G), while in the AHL he was closer to 1:1. He's also a good skater, something DeBrusk needs on his opposite wing to be successful imo.

It seems like Stud forced his way to be to be the first or second guy called upon if someone is injured/unfit to play. I would assume if everyone can go Cassidy would go with Bjork as the first fill in but Stud bumped Kuhlman off the second line during camp so having him play is not unlikely. Also it doesn’t matter if he played in the O two years ago, he was Providences most productive/relied upon skater this year.

I'm a little late to the party but do you know why Nick Ritchie isn't practicing with the team recently? It looks like Kuraly is going to slot in as the 3rd line LW on Thursday
