Just because he shoots right, one year of Larsson isn't worth all of that. I like your HoSang for Bracco trade. Not because they are prospects though. Their parents won't have to travel as far to see them play in their new American League cities.

I still have hope for Bracco, just not with the Leafs. He has an awesome skillset and could (probably won't) potentially be a PP specialist on the 3rd line for some offense-starved team someday.

I think the problem is we already have 3 RW's that are more skilled then him and he doesn't have the skillset of a 4th liner. Maybe in a world where we trade down in 2015 and take Provorov instead of Marner he brings depth scoring for us on the 3rd line. At this point in time I think he's Europe bound though.

They both definitely need a change of scenery.

Larsson trade could be okay if he plays like he did before this season.

Yup. I'd do Johnsson straight up but that's it.

Johnsson is basically a cap dump
Why do leaf fans throw him in every trade rather than Kapanen?

Kerfoot, while a useful 3C, is not worth a top 4 rhd retained and an ok cap dump at best

You’d have to add a lot

they add him because he is the most expendable out of the three players that can be moved (Johnsson, Kerfood and Kapanen) without impacting the team too much. And no, he isnt a cap dump, and no, Larsson doesnt get to be a top 4RHD coming off that bad season unless Johnsson gets to be a 20 goal scoring 2nd line winger coming off a bad season.

So no, the leafs dont have to add a lot.

I mean I'd take Johnsson over Kassian any time unless I needed a guy to fight.

Johnsson is a 60 point guy playing with McDavid.

Also Larsson only has 1 year left. He's not even with Kerfoot without retention.

His 5 goals last season shows (to me) he doesn't have an awesome skillset to in the NHL, gee maybe not the AHL. He's just not a North American type. pro player. And even in Europe, don't know how he could be an effective player where skating is a premium on the larger ice surface.

I think Edmonton should add Puljujarvi and Toronto could throw in Bracco, if the Ho-Sang trade didn’t happen. Puljujarvi doesn’t have much value, if any, because he refuses to play so a change of scenery would benefit him, he has SO MUCH offensive talent, just being wasted in edmonton because he refuses to play there. I still believe in Bracco as well. Bracco could benefit from Edmonton, getting a chance at the NHL level, and if it doesn’t work you still get Johnsson and Kerfoot and you didn’t have to give up too much (a top 6 D, after the year he had, and a guy who refuses to play)

Any trade with Edmonton would have to be cap neutral. This offer gets declined.

I think he could be a good top-6 KHLer for sure. Probably not with a big club but maybe a team in the east would give him the opportunities he needs.

I'd argue skating is less important on European ice surfaces.

The ice gives players more time with the puck because it is wider. But the ice is also shorter.

Speed is more important on smaller ice surfaces because it helps you make more time for yourself.
