Big changes aint happening

Created by: ecupirate07
Team: 2020-21 Carolina Hurricanes
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 27, 2020
Published: Jul. 27, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Why it won’t happen:
Canes: too much turnover and RBA would lose his mind with that center group
Tampa: they don’t get the value out of Palat and Sergachev. They do get 3 roster players for the current roster hit of Palat and a 1st. In the end, not many teams can absorb their wingers that players are willing to waive for. Killorn gets moved out and they may have 9 million to keep Cernak and Cirelli.
Toronto: they don’t want Dzingel, although he does give them some offense to help soften the blow of losing Nylander. And it gives them more cap flexibility next season, to go a long with the 3 million this deal gives them.
Anyone realistically take Gardiner or Reimer?
I an undervaluing Trocheck a little bit but Im not expecting him to go off in the playoffs.

Canes would take Askarov with Arizona’s pick. The signing amount for Sergachev doesn’t matter as NJ would do it.

Even though this wouldn’t happen, I want the abuse from the fans.

Without the performance bonuses from 19-20 applying to this team, we could go all the way to the cap and have a very deep team. We would have the option of having Keane instead of TVR and using that 2.2 million on. RH Winger to play along Staal.

Exactly. Tor fans saying Johnsson is worth a 2nd, most say no. Dzingel worth a third as well. Nylander and Pesce deal is fun to watch.

Why doesn't the Devils make the deal for Serge directly? Tampa has a contract problem and prefer quality over quantity.

They definitely can. Im not sure that the Devils can offer a package that would give Tampa roster players on ELCs that they want to give up.

We have multiple contracts that fit that situation. We can retain on basically any situation including Goose's expiring contract.

      This is a LOT

That toronto trade? No. Pesce = Nylander, Dzingel > Johnsson

Reimer had real good stats and idk raanta is an upgrade. Gardiner isn't going anywhere either. He was better analytically than Pesce.

That is a HORRIBLE overpay for Sergachev and Palat.

Sergachev for a 1st is fine, shouldn't acquire him in the first place

Trocheck >>>>> Mittelstadt and a change of 2nd's doesn't breach the gap.
