Description
Just watched SPORTSNET discuss the series matchup be Edmonton and Chicago, and it simply was just 2 guys talking about Connor McDavid for 5 minutes. Pretty disappointing that while discussing a series matchup, they didn't talk about the Hawks once. Which was odd. The Oilers are a strong pick to win the series, but even Oiler fans believe that Chicago can sneak a game.

Out of the two 5- 12 matchups, Edm vs Chi seem more likely to be the more competitive series. How do you guys see the matchup going? Edm still pull it off? Realistically, where does Chicago stand, and what are their advantages (If they have any). Also I'm pretty friggin high rn.

Idk what your problem is bro, everyone knows the Hawks are literally just bringing 31 traffic cones into the bubble. Not worth discussing it

I actually think it will be one of the less competitive series. I really don't think Chicago matches up well at all.

I mean, the only game EDM won in the season series was the game that Lehner was in instead of Crow and McDavid wasnt playing. The two games the Hawks won it was essentially the same lineups they are both presenting today. Not saying I think the Hawks will sweep, but I think that speaks to their ability to match up just fine

Squeeeeeeeeps huff
Just the way things are going its pointing at a sweep. But I have a belief every team will win one game. Every team should have a win in them in three games after all this.

I don’t know if this is gonna come up, but I think this series boils down to how ready crow really will be. Considering he’s recovered from COVID and having the long lay off, not participating at all in training camp is a huge disadvantage. So, if the hawks do work him in this week, who knows how the team will do. But considering how players raise their game in the playoffs, due respect, but you can forget the two wins we had this year against Edmonton. Mcdavid and draisital are hungry, and they got eyes on our **** defense.

First loss to the Hawks was no where near the current Oilers roster. There was no Larsson, Yamamoto, Ennis, or AA they replace Persson, Nygard, Granlund and Jurco. Second loss Oilers were missing Klefbom while 1 player missing shouldn't mean too much Oilers D for some reason always falters without Klefbom's 24+ minutes

Both games lost also were the last game of a road trip and like game #3 in 4 days if I remember correctly.

Just replying to a guy saying the rosters are the same. Also home team won every game so another advantage to EDM now.

Ah, I was speaking more for the Hawks but I did say both teams so thats my mistake. Either way I dont think its as cut and dry as "Oilers are better they will sweep." I think there are more layers to it.
