Kunin to center

Created by: OutCold13
Team: 2020-21 Minnesota Wild
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 19, 2020
Published: Jul. 28, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
First things first the Wild are looking for a legit top 6 center, which appear to be in short supply in the NHL.
So they commit to moving Kunin there permanently.
The Wild have Khovanov in the KHL/AHL who looks to be a top 6 type but not ready just yet. I think they should further bolster the position with their first pick this year. I'm thinking Lundell, assuming they don't win the lottery, but I'm not a scout so I will have to trust the Wild organizations judgement.
Since I've moved Kunin to center I need another right shot Wing. Toronto has to move some guys and I think this play-in round shows everybody Dumba is back. I'll need some feedback on the Dumba to Toronto trade, but it's a starting point. I like get Sandin back in the trade, pairing him with Addison in the future could be a nice combo and allows the Wild to trade Brodin if a center does become available.
Freddie could be to expensive for Toronto and Campbell has out played him since joining the Leafs Wild send a cheap reliable option in Stalock to help fill out the roster.
Pateryn to the Penguins is a trade I've seen a bunch and it makes sense.
Lastly I dealt with Zuccarello. We know Florida wants to save money so this works for them and Zuccarello gets to keep more of his money from taxes so he waives. The Wild take salary back in Stralman who should cover the 2nd pair right side until Addison is ready.
Please give me feedback on the trades and how they could be fixed, I'm Leafs will want a bit more so offer suggestions.

Toronto blocks your number. That trade is heavily in Minnesota favour

Cirelli is a pipe dream and Domi and Strome aren't worth Dumba or Brodin.

I figured in the Wild favour but what needs adding?

Penguins probably take that. Unless they can dump Bjugstad with no cap coming back.

I doubt any amount of adding would make this trade sensible. Getting the values even doesn't really matter.

I can’t see the leafs adding dumba. They won’t disrupt their roster or mortgage their future and that’s what the wild would demand.

All 3 of those guys won't be moved this offseason. Kap is obviously the most likely trade target but they arent trading Freddy despite what people on this site think and they certainly arent moving Sandin without bringing back a legitimate number 1 defenseman

Panthers don’t save money there even with retained money. So they wouldn’t do this

Zuccarello at 4 mil a year plus Belpedio at maybe 850k
Is less then the 5.5 mil the Wild are taking.

Yeah but stralman has two years left at 11 million total while zuc with 4 years at 4 mil a year is more than the panthers want to take on.

Take out Sandin. He is the 7th best prospect in the NHL according to Craig Button. Or replace Dumba with Spurgeon.

I knew he was highly rated, higher rated than I thought. I'd be willing to trade Spurgeon instead of Dumba but doubt he waives to go to Toronto. I'm also fine with dropping Stalock and Freddie from this trade. I just figured Leafs could use the cap relief.

Yea that makes sense. Not sure I'm willing to trade him and his nice ELC but Spurgeon is really really good.

Spurg is great. He is my best guess to be the Wild captain next. Wouldn't want to trade him but since he is 30 now a couple younger players would fit the Wild window better.
