Kevyn Adams a rookie GM with no experience will not trade a top 5 center in Jack Eichel.

Aside from the ridiculous trade you think the Sabres would even talk to Sobotka after the season he had? He would be lucky to get the league minimum, and Sabres fans would still lose their minds. Olofsson gets all the money you gave Sobotka, Vesey isn’t coming back, and neither is Frolik, especially not at that price. Reinhart gets at least $5 million, and if Simmonds returns it’s a 1 year $1 million deal. Did you even try?

Agreed. Interesting here though because Anaheim is one of the few teams with the currency to pull off an Eichel trade, and I have to say, I am at least impressed that the poster threw in Sam Steel and a 2020 first (6th OA) as a starting point, but you probably would have to go Zegras over Steel, and you toss in Lindholm as well. It's a decent offer compared to what a lot of people try for, eventhough Buffalo declines, especially considering I want no part of Adam Henrique's contract and i'd rather ride out Kyle Okposo's remaining three years.

Eichel will not be traded though unless he asks. Realistically zero chance Adam's does this, and if Adams wanted to, The Pegulas would never allow that to happen unless he requests it

I could actually live with Jimmy Vesey, I just think he had a **** year because of the lack of centers on this team. He gets a one or two year prove it deal for a slightly bigger contract, but I think it's more likely Vesey doesn't want to come back, more than Buffalo wanting him back, and he certainly isn't coming back to be scratched. I do think Simmonds will land around 1.5-2.5 million, so it's on the higher end for sure, but there will still be teams that will value the leadership and locker room presence and his physicallity

Simmonds is already 35, slowing down, and not producing points. He gets a veteran one year deal worth very little money, I don’t think he sees 2 million again. I don’t think Vesey would come back, and I don’t think the Sabres would want him. He certainly isn’t earning a raise on what he made this year. I would much rather sign Josh Leivo, I really like his game and he will produce the offense that Jimmy Vesey ever gave the Sabres.

I’d rather have Tyler Ennis back for a cheap option before Vesey to be honest, but I think he is going to stay close to home in Edmonton if he can.

I wouldn't mind Vesey back if he is around 2 AAV on a 1 or 2 year deal. I don't know if he would want to come back here and accept a vottom.6 role vit if he does he is a good possession player that is defensively responsible so even if he only gets us 30 points in that role we can live with it.

If we trade Johansson, then ok... i guess
Otherwise, where would u play him?
Kahun & MoJo should be our 3rd line wingers
I really don’t want either of them in the top6 ideally,
and definitely not Vesey either
So i don’t really see a spot for him
Well...
i supposed he could play LW on the “checking line” with Larsson & Okposo if we lose Girgs
But i kinda had Asplund in mind for that slot if Girgs walks

And i know u didn’t say it...
But there’s no way we should even consider bringing back Frolik, and even Simmonds is a very last resort for me to fill out Line4

No Frolik is a no go. If we somehow can get rid of Okposo's contract I am not opposed to Simmonds back on a 1 -2 deal at 1 to 1.5. I would put Vesey on line 3 or 4. He can fit that role nicely if he is willing to accept it. If we move Kahun into top 6 he can play on line 3. If not line 4.

If we are gonna love Kahun or Johansson into the top6,
then I’m putting MoJo on Eichel’s line
Since we likely aren’t going to re-sign him,
might as well build up his trade deadline as value as my as possible

Getting rid of Okposo seems like a fantasy at this point,
so I’m not even considering that a remote possibility

But if we bring in a 2C & RW2 (like i think we want),
then i don’t see Vesey fitting anywhere but line4 for Girgs
