Arguably a late 1st rounder. the second and third are good but I think Tampa would prefer to squeeze someone for a higher valued first round first

That is what it will take for Tampa to flinch

Tampa is in a tough position to match that

Challenge here is to have enough money to sign Miro next year.

So, next year you have 15M$ left and a roster of 14 players. Let's say that Miro takes 8M$ of that 15M$. You are left with 7M$ to complete a 23 players roster or to sign 8 players. That is not much. It's not even an average of 1M$ per player.

You are also taking a big risk in promoting Oettinger in the NHL after only one year in the AHL. If Bishop gets injured, will Oettinger be able to take the net regularly?

The only way I could see this work for next year purposes is to make a deal with Seattle for them to take Pavelski. But that could cost us a nice sweetener in order to convince them.

Rangers wise.... what would they rather have, Comeau for 1 year at $2.4M AAV, or re-sign Fast for 4 years at around $2.75M AAV?

Wouldn't claim Comeau off waivers.
