Last time I posted that trade I had San Jose sending Colorado's pick but people said Pearson was worth more. I'm not sure.

Personally I'd be fine with Colorado's pick.

You're not necessarily wrong, and what people have said is generally true, because Pearson is probably worth more than a later 2nd. But we just wouldn't be willing to give up that 2nd 1 for 1.

What prospect(s) would San Jose be willing to add to Colorado's 2nd?

Good team cap maneuvering IMO, and it would be awesome if Tanev took a one year deal. I also get the idea of trying to cash in on Pearson's value before he leaves in free agency, but he might just be more valuable to VAN playing out the year. He had great chemistry with Horvat and without him and Toffoli the 2nd line wing options are pretty questionable. As much as the team needs to improve the blueline, I think I'd rather the Canucks keep Pearson in this scenario and try to sign a lower priced Dman.

If you remove empty net points, a healthy Roussel playing with Horvat last season put up pretty much the exact same numbers as Pearson did this season. Moving Pearson would be one of the few positive value trades we could make and I don't think it would effect the team that much. More importantly, we have younger options stepping in as soon as next year with Podkolzin, Hoglander and Lind. Probably two of those guys will earn spots at least. It's just about holding over for a year until that happens. Considering that Eriksson got time on the second line, I think Roussel and Leivo are pretty good linemates for Horvat. Leivo is also a perfect stop gap at forward and would likely take a 1 year, show me deal as his season was cut short due to injury.

There was a rumour that management was discussing a one year deal with Tanev a while ago. I'm not sure how credible it is, but given that Tanev has expressed strong interest in returning I wouldn't be surprised if he took it.

Good points, and I do like Roussel's game, but I don't think you want to bank on him in the top 6 unless it's filling in for injury. I love the idea of bringing back Leivo if he'll take a one year prove-it deal. As for Tanev, I think his agent came out and said they wouldn't be interested in a one year deal, although I'm not sure what his exact wording was.

Hmm, I would do Pearson and a future 6th from VAN for the Sharks 2nd

I would never send 34th overall. I would do COL 2nd plus a B prospect like Ibragimov or Carrick. but 34th overall is off the table...we need to refill our quality prospect cabinet.

I'll take that too. COL 2nd + Ibragimov for Pearson.

Probably an okay prospect, or the equivalent of a 2021 3rd would be fine. I'd be willing to give up about that much more.
