The easiest nope in the history of nopes from Ottawa. JBD and Tierney have significantly more value than both of the Buffalo pieces solo.

I agree Ottawa doesn't make this deal but Tierney doesn't have a ton of value where he would be with more than Risto

Ristolainen is not good, and I'm personally not a fan of Mittlestadt. I wouldn't touch this is it was just JBD.

Talent might be close but Risto's contract makes his value lower than Tierney

If JBD was taken out of the deal it is something I could see OTT doing

I don't think they would. If they add a Dman, they need a guy who can handle big minutes and defensive responsibility, and I don't think Ristolainen does either of those well. Sens don't need another PP option with Chabot, Wolanin and Brannstrom. Even Mike Reilly is a capable PP2 guy.

Does Thomsen have more value than JBD? Would that make it more even?

Thomson and JBD both project as top 4 guys. JBD something along the lines of Fabbro/Pesce and Thomson something close to Dumba. A couple of analysts said he’s close to NHL ready next year and he’s pretty solid. Both are as valuable as Joki is to you guys

Adding Zaitsev to the deal would make it more even
