Vegas definitively ain’t doing that. I could see Fleury and a decent prospect for a guy like Glendening tho.

If that's what they are paying to move Fleury sign Ottawa up. Fleury would be a great starter (even though he is slightly overpaid).

I'd take him for a 2nd. I think he could be a good piece not just a cap dump.

I have a better idea for Vancouver and Vegas: instead of using Detroit as a middleman, they exchange Eriksson, Baertschi and Stecher for Fleury. Both teams get to keep their first-round draft picks; Las Vegas gets the RD they need and Vancouver doesn't have to sign Markstrom.

Yea, I don’t think Vegas considers, they are in enough cap issues

Yeah, you're probably right, because Las Vegas would have to replace Fleury, and they'd only have about $3.5 million to do so. What do you think that Lehner's going to cost?

And Perlini has zero value. The trade isn't close.

There is talk of Vegas dumping Fleury, but that is only if they choose to keep Lehner. Detroit would be among a very small few (Chi, Buffalo, and Calgary possibly Ottawa and might be missing one other) that would need a starter. But only Det, Buf, and Ottawa could afford Fleury. It would make him a cap dump and you are paying too much back for a net-minder that will be 36 before the season starts next year. Goalies at the end just fall off a cliff....not sure any of those rebuilding teams want that in two years.

Market for goalies is saturated and trade values worth very little. Cap dumps yes--teams always want picks--hockey trades: no.
