No to everything except the Hutton trade. I wouldn’t mind signing Trevor van Riemsdyk though.

I think we can find a way to more for Risto. At least a second this year.

If Steve Sullivan pulls this off for Arizona, he will get a seven year contract worth 30 million dollars per year(exaggeration). This is exactly what they need to resign Hall

Do you think Buffalo is getting screwed in this trade though Is the 2021 first too much?

I don’t think they’re getting screwed, this trade is decent for them. I’m just saying that this is exactly what Arizona wants

Schmaltz is a 3rd liner being paid 2nd line money on a long term deal. Barely an upgrade for the Sabres. They don’t want to give up Mittelstadt unless they have to. Coghlan may be good, but they’re already loaded with defensive prospects and need forwards. The only thing Botterill did was draft defensemen. I don’t know enough about Steenbergen.

Nick Schmaltz Was on a 53 point pace.
I don’t really know Ristolainen value I usually get yelled at when someone makes a hockey trade for Risto.

Risto is a top four defenseman on any team. His negative defensive numbers come from the fact he is constantly playing against the other teams best players, and playing too many minutes every game. Limiting his minutes to 23 a game instead of near 27-30 he is a much better player. I don’t know if the Sabres are looking for a long-term contract this summer with anyone not already in the organization. Dahlin, Reinhart, or Olofsson (maybe Kahun) are the Only players I see getting deals near 5 years long or more.

It’s time to move on from Risto

I base my opinion on what I’ve seen him do watching him play his entire career, not some stupid sabermetrics.

He doesn’t past the eye test either.

The Arizona trade is good value wise. Not entirely sure that the Coyotes would do this since they're pretty short of quality centers, but at least the value is there.

Im sure they would rather move Stepan, but he’s had a huge decline in terms of points.
