That center depth is horrible. UPL isn't going to be NHL ready either.

you can't expect a 19-year-old to play 2nd line minutes. They did that with Mittelstadt and it didn't work out.

Its nice to have faith and all but you have to be ready if it doesnt work out and you need to shelter Cozens a bit while he develops too.

Edit: and yes that center depth blows.

Would be happy to do that package for Henrique and Rakell. But not Lindholm

I think Cozens can be a solid 3C next season but Mittelstadt isn't good. Hes probably a bust.

Maybe a 3rd line winger if the are lucky.

For next season I think he can slot in as a 3C. I think in 3 or 4 years he will be a high end 2C.

Isn’t Kuhun a natural center? Why not give him a chance. Can’t possibly be any worse than half the ideas I see posted for Buffalo

We have no interest in trading that package without Lindholm

Arizona got a #1C and #1 goalie for the 7th overall pick and a defense prospect (although a very good one), so two full-time skaters (a #1D and #2RW) should be worth the 8th overall pick and Henri Jokiharju. Anything less and we aren't interested, particularly in two guys yet to play a game in the NHL. Particularly when we already have a Ryan Johnson in the system and Pekar isn't even your best RW prospect.

Stepan is not a 1C? He never was? Raanta is also a backup albeit a very good one? Lindholm is a top pairing defenseman and Rakell is a top 6 RW both on great contracts too

When the Coyotes made that trade, Raanta was expected to be the #!G and Stepan was expected to be the #1C. What they are now is irrelevant. But I'm glad we agree on the true value of Rakell and Lindholm.
