Also Larsson and Hopkins are gonna need extensions. So one is gonna be gone. Everyone thinks Hopkins will go to the Rangers, lets see what happens

Extending both shouldn't be particularly difficult for the Oilers, even with Yamamoto needing to be signed as well. Edmonton has about $3M in dead cap coming off the books for 2020-2021, and word around here appears that an RNH extension could look very similar to the Kevin Hayes deal.

Drai, McD, Nuge for 27 million and 268 points last season, and those 4 Leafs for 40.5 million and 266 points.
RNH will get around 7 mill and the Oilers already have the replacements for all those D men.

The Oilers $40M is better spent, no question. But Toronto does have better depth... of course, when you're comparing depth you're knocking off the top-4 Leafs players and the top-6 Oilers players in this mock.

If they both leave (not likely) you'd be comparing Edmonton's $30M with Toronto's $40M... apples to oranges.

yes, i think it's dumb because it's a context-less attempt to compare two groups of player contracts that you can't compare for various reasons in an attempt to make a GM he doesnt like look bad.

Yes you are very defensive because it does not favor the leafs. Every time there is even the slightest negative post about the leafs, you get extremely defensive. The question of this GM is "which 40 million is better spent" So instead of you answering the question and providing a reason for your opinion, you go into defensive mode.
