List of leafs rhd that are better than tanev: Holl, liljegren. Let’s see where you have placed them... apparently the centre of the sun...great job...

Also dubas said he’d be scouting free agents... does tanev remotely seem like a dubas pick?

Liljegren isnt there yet and Holl is only better when hes playing with Muzzin...ill let you guess who I credit that with.

As for the AGM, a 21 man roster is rough. The Leafs seemed ready to do it back when the first wave of injuries were coming back this season but most teams wouldnt be prepared to run it.

Yeah Holl and Tanev are roughly the same but Tanev is more experienced and been a solid player for a while. Also, Liljegren has had like 2 decent NHL games, you can't honestly believe he is better.

rielly and tanev had good chemistry in the WC a few years ago. That said, Tanev made it clear he wants to stay in Vancouver and play with Hughes. I could see Demelo coming over as he did say he may plan to play closer to home.

Other players to look at

Justin Braun (1-2 year deal should work)
Hamonic (hes gonna get less money)
Stetcher (what happened with Hutton could happen to Stetcher)

Are you referring to Tanev's injury history?

he has had some injury prone seasons, but with his defensive skills, Dubas could believe the benefits outweigh the risks.

Tanev would be a mistake imo. The injury history says it all.

I am sure Dubas will turn over every stone at some point, if he hasn't already. Honestly though, I think Gudas is the better and cheaper fit for this group than Tanev. Yes, I like Tanev, but his injury history has me worried. At least with Gudas, at say, $3.25 million AAV over 3 years, you can pair him with Dermott (if he stays) or Sandin and have a more prototypical bottom D pairing. Because the Leafs need to find some new LTIR money for their cap situation, I expect a fairly aggressive trade season for the Leafs after they wrap up play, whenever that will be

Leafs aren't paying 4.6 to Tanev. Dermot played the right side with Reilly last night. Noticed you didn't have Holl even in this lineup.
It seems only the Leafs can't have left handed players playing the right side for some reason.
If Reilly, Muzzin and Sandin play the left side, Holl, Dermot, Lehtonen, Marincin, Liljegren can and have play the right side.
