This team makes playoffs And still keep future bright

Created by: BigDog91
Team: 2020-21 Buffalo Sabres
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 28, 2020
Published: Jul. 29, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I think having cozens on wing next year could benefit him a lot and take a lot of stress off him. Also I believe learning behind Stephan can only help his game.

I think we all know skinner needs Eichel to be elite scorer. So put them back together and have Anderson be the speedy grinder to get the puck out of corners.

The second line will be much improved and help take pressure off top line.

I think our defense was good last year so not much needed. I think we can fill last LhD with any cheap dman.

Goalie should be much better with healthy Ullmark but Raanta could be sneaky backup.

Arizona save 4 million with this deal. Could add low end prospect but I don’t think it is need to get Raanta and how cap strapped Arizona will be.

  1. Hutton, Carter
  2. Johansson, Marcus
Additional Details:
The difference between Hutton and Stephan and Johansson should be enough for one year of Raanta. Just a big gamble because he is literally never healthy. But we only need him to be a #2

Arizona probably accepts, but we really really really don’t want Hutton. Johansson is overpriced, but likely worth it. On the other hand, Hutton would be redundant considering we have hill and kuemper.

I agree but for Sabre’s to take Stephan u need to take Hutton. I think u could easily flip him without having to give up anything. He is great locker room guy and Media. With his eye surgery I think he will much improved.

Pilut has no value to anyone as he’s already signed a 2 year contract in the KHL and could come back to NA as a UFA... Thompson isn’t getting you Anderson. Thompson is a bust at this point.

No team with Tierney at 2C is a playoff team,
just ask the Sens

And Brassard too?
This is one of the worst combos I’ve seen brought in

Tierney at 3C might be ok, but not at 2C

U are just completely wrong. Ottawa team was garbage. This team is a lot deeper and he would be playing with a lot better players. And jack Eichel will be having 100 point year or close to it.

Also Carolina made it with stall, Arizona with Stephan, flames with backlund, jets with Lowry, panthers with haula, and bruins were best team in the league with krejc. Are just some examples.

Is there still gonna be 12 teams making it from our Conference next year? 😂😂😂

Tierney sucks as a 2C idea, he’d be fine at 3C
Stephan is a fine 3C who’s severely overpaid, pass

He was playing with Conor brown and duclair. And was on worst team in the league. Also, I think bruins, Colorado, oilers all proved u can be elite team with one great line. Meanwhile, that second line would be In the top half of the league.

If u ready I took Stephan to get Raanta and loose Hutton. It is just one year deal.

Also tierney only needs to be 2c for one year max then cozens will be able to step in. We also are keeping Mittelstadt and 8th overall. So we will have 3 elite players coming up.

Everything would have to go perfect
You made a much better team that had Cirelli at 2C and Tierney at 3C
Of course it’s unlikely we are getting Cirelli,
but it just goes to show that YOU KNOW where Tierney should really be slotted

We most likely don’t have a strong enough team (like your examples of Boston & Colorado) to make the playoffs with Tierney at 2C
Yeah, that’s likely a good 1st line
But it’s also not in the same class as the Bruins or AVs top unit

Yeah but I would take that second line over debrusk, krejci and kase. Any day of the week. Also have to remember Sabre’s got hit by injury bug hard and when Ullmark got hurt Hutton went like 16 games without getting a win or stopping a puck.

I think tierney would put up 60 points on that line. He is very good playmaker and we wouldn’t need him to do that much. I think u are hoping for homerun like Tavares but in reality if you look around the league. Not many teams have homerun 2c.

You’re way to high in Tierney
He’s never even hit 50pts, let alone 60
And u have no clue if he’d gel with VO & Sam or not

I’m not necessarily looking for a “Tavares”
But i also don’t wanna keep playing 3rd liners at the 2C
I think we’d have learned our lesson by now

Well besides ROR we have never tried putting a actual center at 2c. Also he had 48 points on last place Ottawa last year. He is more then capable of handling 2c role. As for gelling with Sam and Victor I can’t see that being a problem at all. Victor is Shooter and Sam is net front/ passer. Neither demand the puck. Tierney is a passer which is exactly they need. He may not be a super star but playing on that second line he will get plenty of points because all the top players will be trying to stop jack.

He has been going against top lines on Ottawa because they have no other options right now. If he played on top team he would have 20 more points. Since he played on struggling team he is garbage.

With this team we keep our top player and picks. While get an actual center to play 2c instead of winger forced to player center. Also have cozens who could take over 2c half way through the year.

Disagree
He’s not nearly as good as u think
He’s one of the worst 2Cs in the league
He’d be good as a 3C
You already know this though
Like i said before, that’s exactly why u made a team where u had him slotted there & brought in Cirelli as 2C
