Dallas should take it and run , but I’m not sure they would. Lindell is overrated.

I think it depend on how long they think Thomas Harley will take to be NHL ready. They really don't have anyone ready to step into a top 4 LHD position. I suppose they could also target a LHD in free agency, maybe Vatanen or Brodie

I find Strome very intriguing. A very good season last year made me wonder if he was finally coming out of his shell. Then this year it's kind of disapointing if you compare to last year.

I think that Lindell has a little more value but not that much. People that do not follow the Stars may look at Lindell's stats and wonder why he got that contract. While I feel the Stars gave him too much money, Esa has high value. That is if you put high value on elite defensive play and elite PK. Lindell plays all the tough minutes and gives the coaching staff over 20 minutes per game and sometime close to 30.

As for Strome, he could become a very fine second center and that has value also. He just has not demonstrate consistency from what I can observe while Esa is very consistent.

Think that's a good start. Would it work if CHI added Määttä and DAL added Comeau for example to the trade? Money would be fairly equal, and we wouldn't have that big of a hole in our defense.

I can really only speak to Strome. He's got 80 points in 95 games with the Hawks when he plays center. For some very stupid reason, this past season they tried him out at wing after he has a minor ankle injury. He wasn't good at it. Was it a nagging injury? I don't think so. He's just not a winger. It's like 2012 when they tried Kane at center...Kane got 66 points. So dumb.

Lindell + Comeau for Strome + Maata?

That's a good trade.

Can't do that as we'd be in a bad situation money-wise.
