Red Wings don't need Risto they need LD and Yzerman isn't gonna give a 2nd that is going to be probably around 32-37th overall and another 2nd for him. It just doesn't make sense for a rebuilding team.

Wings don’t need another RHD and we’re not giving up one of the top picks in the 2nd round for Risto

Los Angeles isn't trading Alex Iafallo for over-the-horizon futures. But make that the 2020 second and we might be singing a different tune on draft day.

I like most of the roster build I could do without the Iaffalo trade. Perhaps use that capital for Virtanen or Roslovic. Also I don't think Shattenkirk fills a need for us either play Borgen there or get more of a defensive minded player Gudas or Demelo

No, a 1st for a guy that would have gotten 50 points this year and most likely will next year. His production has increased every year since he joined the NHL. If no one wants to pay that price then we'll keep him.

I don't think anyone's giving a 1st for a guy who has had one season looking like a top 6 at age 26.

I'm sure there are many pro scouts who would disagree with you.

Det doesn’t want Risto; they already have a cheaper turnover machine who doesn’t play Defense in Cholowski

I definitely think that's a solid package for Iafallo (if the 2nd would be for the upcoming draft and the 4th could be 2022) if the Kings were interested in trading him (which I don't think they are). I think the Kings are better to keep him as you are right about him trending upwards. I think teams need to give it one more year before they would give up a 1st rounder.

Right because Coleman and Goodrow are better than Iafallo?

I don't think Iafallo is worth a 1st round pick right now, but I do think it would take a 1st round pick for the Kings to trade him. They literally have ZERO other top-six LW. They'll be playing Kempe at 2LW next season when he should be on the third line.

Much like Walker and Roy, the Kings need Iafallo right now and would only consider trading him if someone overpays.

Evolving Hockey predicted contract for Kevin Shattenkirk = 8 yr term @ 6.091M to stay with the same team (TB). The only reason he signed with Tampa for so cheaply was because he was bought out from his Rangers contract that was 4 x 6.65M....How exactly are you getting him for 3 yrs @ 3.75M? Granted he gets a 6.083M buyout payment next year, but that's all the more incentive for him to sign a one year deal on a good team like Tampa rather than a rebuilding club like Buffalo.

Wings are loaded on RHD for prospects and young guns....Filip Hronek, Moritz Seider, Gustav Lindstrom, and Antti Tuomisto. They very well could also draft Jaime Drysdale as well. Ristolainen would be 26 and need to play off-handed to be a top 2 pairing going forwarded. Would be better for the Wings to use their cap in free agency to pursue Krug and keep the picks.

Maybe a 1st in the 15-25 range, definitely not a Sabres 1st though cause that's usually top 10

Risto is sliding last few years so one if the 2nd rounders is conditional based on his performance then maybe...otherwise 2 ..2nds is too much for our rebuild on a non 18-22 yr old
