I understand Hagg has been better this year, but I'd like to see Ghost on that third pair with Braun. If Ghost can find 75% of who he was two years ago, hopefully the knee surgeries helped, he'll be better than Hagg. The Flyers become a much more dangerous team with Ghost on the third pair moving and breaking out the puck. Hagg and Braun get pinned in the d-zone every time, yet somehow they hardly ever get scored on. I fear it will be like 2010 when the Flyers could hardly ice the third pair in the playoffs without getting pinned in. That would be my only quam, but I think the forwards are perfect.
Lights liked this.

Yeah, I think you have the perfect view. I'd like to see Zamula or Ghost with Braun, and maybe swap NAK with Pitlick for 3RW.

As much as Hagg is the punching bag of Philadelphia when things go wrong, the guy actually plays his position extremely well. Super defensive minded, and plays that big-man's game where he holds quicker players than him along the boards to take them outta the play. I still really like Ghost, and would love to see him come back, however, Hagg to me has shown he's a good 3rd pairing defenceman who makes minimal mistakes, and has the "defence comes first" mentality

Eh I still think Hagg is pretty bad imo. Allows entries pretty easily and is horrible at breaking the puck out.

I would prefer to see Ghost on the third pair once the playoffs start and I think that ghost looked pretty good in the game vs the pens but I think we all know that currently that is Hagg's spot and ghost has to win it from him and he's going to have to see ice time in the round robin and with him already sitting a game i see them putting him in the line up for game one of the round robin.

Sure I can see the entries argument with him being slower than most forwards in the NHL, but the breaking out part I can't agree with
