Example, Shea Weber. His analytics look horrible, even during his prime years, but that doesn't stop him from being considered a top 4 defenseman now does it.
Same for Dumba, so what if professionals ripped on his defense? They ripped on Weber's too, and they still universally consider both to be someone who can play in the top 4.

Think what you will... I never dismissed the analytics. I clearly stated that you can't rely solely on them. The same could be said about dismissing analytics altogether too. You need
both to gain the best insight possible.
I also only pointed out that analytics doesn't cover everything and that you should keep that in mind.
You of all people should realize that. Botterill ran the Sabers by a strictly analytical basis and where did that get the team? Where is Botterill now? There's more to hockey than just analytics.
