Guys like Caufield and Sanderson would arrive by the end of the 20-21 season of course. This team would be pretty exciting tbh. Maybe add a guy like Kovalchuk replacing CC at the start of the year

No nee to play Drouin on the right side cause Caufield is a RW. Just line up

Tatar-Danault-Gallagher
Lafreniere-Kotkaniemi-Armia
Drouin-Suzuki-Caufield
Lehkonen-Evans -Byron

I dont think it really matter for those two guys... CC might be even more pleased to play off wing since hes a shooter (and that allows him to have his blade in the center of the ice). Same thing goes with Dru, hes a skilled playmaker whos also a threat when he shoots.

We would more than likely take Holtz (Although I think Buffalo will take him)

I dont think hes such a fit but Im no CHI fan so... But to me an elite G is the only thing this team is missing alongside a top pairing dmen

And Holtz might be available at 12 with this scenario. 9 mtl take Sanderson, 10 min takes a quinn or a guy like Mercer (since they lack C and have plenty of W) and at 11 flo takes Schneidet since they already have plenty of solid forward and lack top 4 dmen

I don't think we need more wingers, and not even to mention another sniper, I think we take the Goalie or steal another LD prospect from Montreal in Sanderson.

Hawks are retooling on the fly, we are not rebuilding, so we aren't going to wait for at least 5 years before Askarov is a starting goalie in the league, we are looking for someone to make a impact in the next year or 2 max. Lundell, Holtz, Perfetti, Rossi, Sanderson, Quinn are all on the radar depending on the draft shakes out but there is no way the Hawks trade back to take Askarov.

I'm betting the Hawks draft Lundell, sign Strome for a year, and then trade him after next season and bring up Lundell. That way they keep the cap under control and are able to spend money or trade value on a top LHD. The other option of course is to draft Sanderson but I honestly don't think he'll be available at 9 or 10.

I like our center depth too much as Dach-Strome-Toews in the next 5 years. Can't agree we should trade Strome until he is beaten our as a top 9 forward.

That's fair but Lundell is a better two way guy but not as good of hands as Strome.
