I say we HAVE to accept this deal. It's somewhat of an over payment...

You do realize russell and chaisson are use full nhlers that won’t require picks to be attached to trade. Habs trade take out the first and rather tatar would fit in better.

Great, I'm a big fan of Gallagher's game and think he would fit well with McDavid. Would Nurse + 2nd be better?

This would be more interesting if we knew what they were gonna resign for in money and term. MTL would rather trade Tatar for this package though

Better for DEM, yes. But then MTL would probably decline. Gally is a real soldier... I dunno man... Nurse + a 2nd? Jeez... Unpopular move... tough call!

Oilers only do that nurse deal if gallagher signs an extension nad change the first into a second

You'll have to add more to the Ottawa trade to entice them to take on Russell's contract. A 3rd round pick is not enough.

While I think that MTL deal is an overpay, MTL would only trade him if the other team overpays to be fair. He’s really valuable to us.
