If I ran the Senators

Created by: ecupirate07

Description
I admit I am not a Ottawa fan but am fascinated by the options they really have this off-season to build for the long term.

Allow Stutz and Rossi to play winger for a season before being thrown to the wolves at center.
Add two really good teammates and defenders in de Haan and Demers. Both are great shot suppressors for the young goaltenders. As long as de Haan can stay healthy.

I altered the Chicago trade since I shortchanged them.

I know last night was just an exhibition, but it goes to show you at least how the Hawks feel about him. He scored 30 points in his last 33 games. He was also a rookie so it's not like he started the season with a ton of ATOI. He's now on the #1PP.

taking a shot in the dark. Taking on CdH's hit while giving them serviceable depth pieces plus picks so that they have 10 million in cap space. I tried to think of other deals like Saad but I doubt Sens on his 10 team list. Previously suggested Seabrook deal probably wouldnt work either due to his NMC.

I could add in Norris or another bigger prospect but I dont really know their value as I dont know anything more about them than the points they put up.

This isn't bad at all considering you're not a sens fan. I would probably implement some more of the prospects from Belleville, especially Norris, but I do see how that's hard to do with the additions you made but with injuries and whatnot everyone would get their games anyway. Also I'd switch Reilly and Wolanin but overall good job.

I don't want Tierney at all, and certainly do not want to give up Jenik

Okay. I figured Arizona would want something roster wise back, preferably C capable. Tierney seemed like the best choice. Jenik is a good prospect that would be good to get. The 10 million cap space does have a price.
