Description
Have a dynamic speed threat on each of the first three lines (Guri, AA, Hintz). JRob is a strong playmaker for Jamie. Pavs and Rads seem to play their best hockey together. Dell is a responsible player and should get a little more out of Cogs and Comeau offensively. Nice balance on the back end. Jones gives the coaches the ability to take their time with Harley. And possibly the ability to move Esa in the future. Tempted to swap Dickie and a pick for Kerfoot for more offense but I’d like to see what Dickie can do if left in a top six role

This doesn't seem terrible. Just keep in mind expansion coming up. Which means loosing Benning or Johns (probably). Which then means if you don't more Lindell, one of those has to switch to RD.

For sure. Miro is fine on the right. I like the idea of Miro-Klinger Harley-Bennett and Jones-Johns if we trade Lindell and protect Bennett. I don’t see them taking Johns due to the injury history. Even if they do Nill needs to work on RHD depth anyways. I also considered moving Esa now and keeping Rig as Rig and Klinger have promising numbers together

Oilers pass.

Jones has good value and will be better than oleksiak

I don’t think the oilers have interest in an AA for Faksa deal but who knows?

Fair. I think Jones and Benning are both underrated. Especially together. They’ve been really good

I maintain that AA for Faksa is close enough equal in value to consider that as separate from the rest of the deal. With that in mind, there's no reason for the Oilers to trade Jones given his cap hit, performance and potential upside. Oleksiak doesn't constitute enough of an improvement (or any at all, for that matter) on either Jones or Benning to warrant adding the other in exchange for a 3rd. The Oil need to retain their depth at the position.

I think Faksa is the right type of player EDM could add but Im not sure it would cost the above though. Personally, it feels like overpaying needlessly.

Oilers just gave up two 2nd round picks for AA. I think it would have to be a huge overpayment for them to move him any time soon.
