You’re lost If you think that line should only play 6 mins a night. Hornqvist is still a 20 goal guy when healthy. Marleau can still chip in offensively too and we can always swap him for Lafferty or Rodrigues or even poulin if he’s not working out.

Marleau-McCann-Hornqvist is a very good third line despite them not looking “good” during an exhibition game

These aren't anybody's lines except Mike Sullivan's. You just happen to agree with what he is doing. And that isn't meant as a jab towards you. It is meant to show the rest of the knuckleheads on this site that they are not a better at his job than he is.

I think Pharrow means that McCann has better use on the top line than Sheary. IDK though, I can only assume from one of their previous posts.

Sheary is a waste of space on the ice for any team. The guy has no skill whatsoever. He can't stay on his feet and most of the game he just stands around waiting for his linemates to do all the work for him. Like, he never retrieves the puck or goes to the dirty area. He won't even throw a hit. The only reason why he's in the league is that his uncle-in-law is a head coach. I swear to god, if the Penguins bring him back, which they will, I'm becoming a Caps fan!

Yes very true. But I did say these lines before the training camp.

I think these lines bring out the most potential of our forward group and Sullivan clearly agrees. Though obviously on a long playoff run lines will change a lot. But this is how they should start

1st line 20 mins
2nd line 20 mins
"4th line" 14-15 minutes a night

Tell me that shut down line doesn't deserve it. All they do is win the puck control it and generate chances.

What do you got left 5-6 minutes.
Stop playing to lose. Those are your 3 best line. Play them.
There is no more time left for that line. And McCann is way to good, much better than sheary, to only play 5-6 minutes a night.

This team has speed for days if it's willing to play the right way. Not waste their time on some line with aging guys who are slow.

I don’t normally clap back at people on here because this site doesn’t exactly ooze hockey knowledge but I cannot wait for you to be wrong on this.

I just think that line is gonna be sick...Marleau still has his legs and him and McCann driving play will allow Hornqvist to stay posted up at the front of the net and be a pest.

That's great, it's still the 4th best line on the team and there is no reason that 4th line shouldn't get 14-15 minutes a night considering how good they are.
There is only 60 minutes in a game. Basic math says they should only be getting 5-6 minutes a night. And they are hands down the slowest line on the team. The only one there with any real speed is McCann, and he should be moved to the top line and given the chance to produce.

Are you two Einstein's really arguing over which line should be classified as the 4th line? What a travesty that the pens are deep enough to have this problem.

What they really have are 2 first lines. 2 third lines. The players that are going to be scratches still make a good 4th line.

Maybe you two can combine what little brain cells you have between the both of you and realize this is not a problem that the pens have.

if you could rub your last two brain cells together you'd realize that so called 3rd line sucks. McCann is the only player on it with any speed.

oh look at that, their line played the worse of all 4 lines yesterday.
ZAR corsi 69%
Blueger corsi 66.7&
Tanev corsi 64%

Then their is your line.
Hornqvist 50%
Marleau 36.4%
McCann 48.6%

And that's despite the ZAR line being hamstrung with Jack Johnson.
Who knocked ZAR down right in front of the goal taking 2 penguins out the play on the 1st goal and then on the last goal was no where near where he was suppose to be to actually help the forwards.

You'd have to be blind to not realize how bad that 3rd line was.

Much like the takes that Sheary is some top line hockey player. He can't even stay on his feet. Come playoffs they just shove him to the ground all game.

but go on there. with your 0 goals and always trapped in your end.
