Drop WPG 2nd and Samberg, add a 5th instead and they might accept

For Dubnyk you might get Perreault, or less

one idea i had was for San Jose and Minnesota to trade Jones for Dubnyk. Maybe with a fresh start on a new team both could bounce back. Would take a sweetner to take Jones but with his rebound potential someone may use him for a backup with retention

Minny would decline, if jones doesn't rebound they're stuck with 3 more years of him, but if dubnyk doesn't rebound hes off the books and they move on with cap space

Dylan Samberg is arguably our best prospect, Dubnyk might have been the worst starter in the league last year, so that’s a pretty easy no. Like suggested I would MAYBE do a Perrault for dubnyk swap but that’s it

Take out Samberg and the 3rd and it’s close.

Meh. Too big of a risk and SJ can't afford to lose a prospect as a sweetener. Would have to be a player with equal term like Perreault, Brandon Sutter or something like that

Jets can find a goalie better suited for a back up role for way cheaper... that's a laughable offer.

There's no way the Jets do that.

Would they even do a 1 for 1? Whether its him or niku?

Doubt it, maybe Niku but definitely not Samberg, even Niku though I can't see them trading him for a rental backup goalie, there's a lot of goalies in free agency and they likely bring Brossoit back anyway.

My guess is Dubnyk remains in Minnesota, don't see the Wild trading him and don't see a market for him, maybe at next TDL if they're out of it but not much sooner.

It’s very close in my opinion, both are going to be very good
