Hamilton thats why. Guy had 40 points in 47 games. Just imagine if he played the entire season (70-80points maybe). Now if Rielly had a back to back 20 goal season and again had 72 points the trade would even out, But then leafs fans would go why trade rielly when he is a 70point defense man.

Also adding Mikheyev is a bit of a wildcard. Sure he was projected to get 50 points, but Bratt accidentally put a stop to that. And while he got 23 points in 39 games teams may be hesitant to pay big on him. Will have to see how he does in the playoffs.

hamilton will probs get more but even so yeah wont work now.

Now if Rielly continued his 70 point totals into this season, yes a trade could be possible, but then people would be saying why are we trading 70 point rielly for 40 point hamilton.

either way were at an impass

Also Mikheyev Played MUCH better under Babcock than he did Keefe, he is one of the biggest Wildcards.....

Leafs aren't trading Mikheyev. He's a beast and is gonna be one discount contract if he takes under 4M.

What people don't know is that Dubas has built a very good repore with Mikheyev. Dubas went well beyond what a GM normally does for a player following an injury.

This is why I think Mikheyev will stay with the Leafs.

Mikheyev is not going anywhere. He is better than all of Kap, Johnsson, Kerfoot and Hyman..

If they trade Mikheyev I'd stop being a Leafs fan. He's my favorite player.

Dougie >>> RIelly

Soup > Fleury, but it doesn't fix the difference between someone who's just outside the top 10 D men in hockey (Rielly) and the best D man in the world right now (Dougie Hamilton) Hamilton was in the norris Conversation before his injury

Forget about value. The LAST thing the Canes need is another LHD. We have Slavin, Skjei, Gardiner and Bean. Keeping Dougie on the right side or replacing Dougie with another RHD is priority.

I'm sorry but Rielly getting 72 with Ron Hainsey is far more impressive than Hamilton getting to his first 70pt (potentially) season with Jaccub Slavin
