More needed from Detroit. 4th OA is good but Werenski is on the verge of being an elite defenseman in this league. He has the offensive prowess and his defense is getting better. It starts with the 4th OA and Veleno.

Only if Byfield is available at 4th. We don’t exactly need a wing.

I’d love to add Larkin’s best friend for 4OA but if it costs anymore I wouldn’t be interested.

Detroit shouldn't rush the rebuild. Rather have more years of team control.

They can honestly wait 5 years for Werenski to become a UFA and have a better team by then.

Rossi?

Would likely be available around 8-10 and we’d have about the 12th pick if we lose to Toronto.

BUILD. THROUGH. THE. DRAFT.
If Werenski is that homesick trade for his RFA rights after Columbus struggles to resign him in 2 years, playing in Detroit would be a more attractive prospect then.

Highly doubt he is there 8-10. Great story for Ottawa at 5 if Detroit don't take him 4. The main scenario where I see him fall is if the SHL restarts early, Raymond and Holtz light it up and they jump.

Not sure I'd do it even then. I kind of prefer actual NHL players to probable NHL players.

Probably. The 3 centers would be Byfield, Rossi and Rochette. Not sure if Rossi or Byfield get to 12 though.
