Lehner will get better offers from more competitive teams, Detroit is looking a 7x7.5 minimum if they wanna bring Lehner into the tire fire

Also Philly isn't trading Ghost for a 7th

The whole trade, buyout and sign back isn’t going to be allowed by the league after the Orpik deal.

There’s a reason he hasn’t gotten a long term contract yet nobody wants to give it to him because on what happened in NYI and if Philadelphia is going to scratch ghost and all I ever see is they want to trade him and if they want to move the cap they’ll take anything

What happened in NY? Lou didnt want to give him a long term deal and gave it to Varlamov instead? Vegas will give him a long term deal if they move Stasny or Fleury. As for Ghost, hes a valuable asset and theres at least 1 NHL team willing to pay for him

They will not be able to argue that successfully. After the Orpik deal the league clarified that that was cap circumvention and would not be allowed in future.

Even if it was allowed, the Blues are not paying you buy Steen out. You are really overshooting on returns, except for the Fabri deal, which is oddly generous.

The NHL has already said they consider that circumventing the cap. WSH got lucky.

Philly isn’t moving Ghost for a 7th. That’s absolutely ridiculous

He was hurt and lost his confidence.....hence the scratches.

He is the likely trade option not because we need the cap space......we can’t protect him from expansion....that’s why his name is out there.

A healthy confident Ghost fetched far more than a 7th. These tails of his permanent demise are laughable if you understand the situation and add some context.
