I really struggle to see why we need Rakell, he just removes offensive opportunities from Kakko, Kravstov and Goat.

Also I really struggle seeing why moving a d-man who just a monster season helps us, unless a massive overpay.

I do not think AG is a fit in MIN, I think he blocks Kahkonen's development. Hank would be a better 1 year fit there

Then move Trouba haha. His NTC only kicks in later in the offseason. And as for the situation with his wife, I'm pretty sure there are hospitals all throughout the US in which she could work.

I agree that Trouba would be the best guy to move but do they trade him after signing him to that big contract?

22nd overall but then we traded down 4 spots and got an extra 2nd. You guys got K'Andre and we took Jakob Bernard Docker and selected Tychonich with the 2nd. We also got Cole and traded him for a pick

U have to understand that yes trouba is likely overpaid by a mil he’s still a great dman who’s got size and physicality and can shoot. If u trade him we loose all our size on defense and he had a “downish year” doesn’t mean u trade him

We all do realize that Lindy Ruff is gone right? Once Ruff came, Skjei who had top pair upside fell down a cliff.
Another thing is we need to be honest with ourselves. How would a player feel if he gets traded for, signs a huge extension and only is here 1 season bc his NTC kicks in? If it was in 3-4 years ala Stepan, it’d be different and bad for incoming deals. It could be possible without Ruff, Trouba still being in his prime goes back to being a 40+ pt dman. Yes our cap issues go away after 1 more season, but Buch, Mika will be up for extensions as well as Fox. Can’t keep Fox, TDA, Trouba all accounting combined in the $16-possible $20M range long term until the cap goes up. That’s too much $ invested in a 6 man D let alone just 3 dmen.

No thanks. I think Strome will be fool's gold for whoever acquires him. He's good, but not 60+ points every season good. If he doesn't cost us one of our blue liners or our first round picks, I'd be interested, otherwise I'd rather we don't go after him.

That’s an easy pass by the ducks. No one in the league should buy high on ADA right now. And not sure the prospect swap makes sense.

I don’t think that’s how it works
