I don't mind the premise of trading a LD for a W, but I have a couple issues with the execution.

First, Broberg isn't ready. He's 10th on their current playoff D roster behind Klefbom, Nurse, Russell, Jones and Lagesson (among LD) and just came off getting lit up 3-15 in on-ice shot share in his first and only game. He's also confirmed to be going back to Skelleftea next year (as per Holland). Second, Klefbom has a rock solid contract for another 3 years that surely boosts his value above that of a 40-50 point W + some scraps. If I'm to accept such a deal, it'd need to replace Moore with a 2nd and substitute JFK for Beecher.

Such a trade probably makes more sense after the 2020-21 season, though.

@SupremeBone you could also make the argument getting a 40-50 pt winger on a bridge deal adds value to Debrusk no?

Sure, assuming it's a nice bridge deal. It still needs to be signed and it won't be a more cost effective deal than Klefbom's relative to his role.

i understand your hesitance to get rid of a top 4 dman but in what world is Klefbom worth a 2nd a recent 1st and a young top 6 forward?

Fair to suggest that I may be overvaluing him in that counter. However, I'd assert that the initial proposition undervalued him by just as much or more (depending on how one value JFK). My initial suggestion was going to be Frederic and a 2nd, but I bumped it up a a bit- likely in bad faith- as I perceived the initial trade to have done. In fairness, my perception may also be skewed by how much other teams extorted the Oil for their Dmen that the Hall for Larsson trade eventually happened. The scars run deep.

Would your perspective change if it's Frederic? If I frame it from my perspective, I don't think setting one's ask for a top-4 D on a nice contract at a 2nd line W, a quality C prospect and a low-2nd is unreasonable.

if you watched the oilers flames game, broberg isn't clearly ready.

for me. this poster is a troll... always has terrible value all over the place. but I also dont think bruins really need a left d man until after the seattle draft. If they bring in klefbom, they have to expose a forward like bjork or expose a dman like grz. they automatically lose a solid option. so while you might think thats great value. i wouldnt be willing to give that up right now.
