Mantha's next contract will be in the realm of Larkin's ($6.1M AAV); but I doubt Holland signs him for mare than their eventual captain. Therefore, we can assume Mantha will get something along the lines of $6M x 5 years. Which would make his RFA compensation: 1st round pick and a 3rd round pick.

First off, Yzerman is our GM, not Holland. Second, we can easily afford to pay Mantha whatever he wants, even if it’s 7 mil +. Third, I’m not going to argue Murray’s value so I’ll agree that’s he’s worth a late 1st... Other people on Cap Friendly are offering a top 10 pick and good prospect and Detroit fans are still declining (Not saying that I’d decline, just stating the general price that’s being associated with him)... No way Detroit accepts that.

You forgot to include Crosby, hallander, Zucker, Marino, guentzel, and the next 3 firsts in the Detroit trade
