Gotta give up a big piece to land a big piece in return.
CGY would be stupid not to ask for Frost in return.

I think Frost plays center and Farabee doesn't. So that should answer that issue

Farabee is better than Frost, but Frost is a C and fits the Flames needs more. Of course when dealing with 20~ year olds, this could change over time.

Flames don't want JVR, but I understand cap probably has to go somewhere for them to fit Gaudreau, I also think JVR has value with slight retention. If the Flyers were to retain say 20% they could probably move him to a 3rd party for a prospect plus a pick (1st or conditional 1st maybe?) Or they could retain, send him to CGY and they could flip him.

If the term of JVR is unappealing to the Flames, then it'll be Voracek. If Flyers fans don't want to trade Farabee, it's Frost for sure. Myers probably stays in the deal too. 2020 1st Round pick is a given.

Could both sides live with Voracek+Frost+Myers+2020 1st for Gaudreau?

I don't know if Flyer fans would like that, but I'd probably take it to be honest. The Voracek cap hit and term is scary though.
